The exterior of the structure is loosely based on Murdouston Castle, a rehab facility where Willie spent the month of January 2021 and where he spent his 50th Birthday (08/01/21) in an isolation unit due to covid restrictions. The facility closed its doors on 30th January 2021, the day that Willie left, he feels that this was a sign as there is no going back to his former life.

Whilst staying at Murdouston Castle, Willie was encouraged to channel his inner child and using photographs from his past he began to create totemic self-portraiture figures of this, the world makes sense to Willie when he can express his thoughts in a tactile way.
